Yuja Wang & Tarmo Peltokoski
Whispering night music comes on, amid the fireworks Yuja Wang sets off.
Hammering timpani, radiant brass and a scorching C major throughout the orchestra: never did the sun rise so heroically as in Strauss's Zarathustra. What follows is a search for the riddle of the world, which again ends in darkness. Night music, whispering of a miracle almost within reach, also sounds in Bartók's piano concerto – amidst the fireworks from star soloist Yuja Wang. Breathtaking.

Yuja Wang is as easily melancholy as she is fiery, sensitive, elegant, patient, gentle and always extremely tasteful.
