The bombing of Rotterdam on 14 May 1940 started at 13:27. Fifteen minutes later, the city was a burning wasteland. But some things cannot be destroyed by a sea of fire. Courage, morale and humanity: to the minute eighty-two years after the first bomb fell, this concert reflects on the forces with which Rotterdam withstood the attack and rose from its own ashes.
