How much music must a composer write to achieve immortality? Beethoven – tatata-tááá – managed it in four notes. Even more economical was John Williams: he needed only two for his iconic Jaws theme. Fortunately, he didn't stop there and went on to compose magnificent music for Star Wars, E.T., Jurassic Park and countless others. With his greatest hits, this concert is a trip down memory lane.

The doors open at 7.00 pm, and after the concert you're invited to stay for a drink and round off the evening with us.

Would you like to make your experience truly complete? Then put on your favourite film costume. Come as a Jedi, a wizard, an archaeologist, or any other iconic character and help bring the magic of the movies to life.

Take a photo in the photobooth – complete with film-themed props – and bring home a fun souvenir of the evening.
Play a Classic
Challenge your friends or family to a game on one of the pinball machines themed around Harry Potter, Indiana Jones, Jurassic Park and Star Wars. Can you achieve the highest score?
Take Your Seat in the Orchestra
Ever wondered what it feels like to be part of a symphony orchestra? This interactive VR experience lets you find out. Guided by a music teacher, you’ll gain a fascinating insight into the world of the orchestra in an engaging and unexpected way.

No evening of film music would be complete without popcorn. Pick up a freshly made portion and soak up the cinema atmosphere before the concert begins.
Test Your Knowledge
Are you a film music expert? Take part in the quiz, identify famous soundtracks and see if you can name the films they come from. You’ll also have the chance to win tickets to a future Proms concert!
A Special Performance
Before the concert, you can enjoy a surprising circus performance by Li-Anne Krol, Leslie Sanderson and Keshia Kroh. Film music, movement and aerial acrobatics come together in a unique and captivating act.
