Music for Breakfast No. 2
Breakfast concert on Sunday morning

A feeling of soothing warmth on a wintry Sunday morning: that's what this episode of Music for Breakfast offers in abundance. Ron Tijhuis (cor anglais) and Carla Schrijner (cello) put together a programme with the glowing timbre of their instruments as a common thread. Four string players from the orchestra join them to treat the listener to five little-heard but oh-so-delightful musical miniatures – and make every winter depression vanish into thin air.
