On Friday September 16, De Doelen will be transformed into a speakeasy bar during our Late Summer Spirit in which the sounds of American music play the leading role. Bluegrass, mambo, swing and a touch of Hollywood: everything that makes American music so irresistible is in this concert.
Rodeo takes you to the prairies of the Southwest, during Copland's Clarinet Concerto you imagine yourself in a jazz club and in Bernstein's Symphonic Dances from West Side Story everything comes together: I like to be in America!
After the concert you can follow the late summer sounds of the New Rotterdam Jazz Orchestra that plays in the main hall. While enjoying a delicious cocktail you can enjoy a sizzling musical late summer evening!
