Dvořák and Rachmaninoff with Alexander Malofeev
Pianovirtuoos Alexander Malofeev onder leiding van de winnaar van de ICCR 2025.

After Alexander Malofeev, also known as the “latest phenomenon of the Russian piano school,” won the International Tchaikovsky Competition for Young Musicians in 2014 at the age of thirteen, his career took off rapidly. In addition to his remarkable solo recitals, he is also frequently heard as a soloist, often performing the virtuosic piano concertos of Rachmaninoff. “In Rachmaninoff’s Second Piano Concerto, the young Russian pianist unmistakably confirmed that he is a great virtuoso,” wrote Bachtrack about his impressive performance with the Orchestra del Teatro di San Carlo in Naples.
