Documentary Das Rheingold

Opera together with Yannick Nézet-Séguin is pure magic. It is an experience to be there as a visitor, but even the best seats in the concert hall can't exactly give you a view on the secret behind the spell that is cast. Documentary maker Christiaan van Schermbeek, however, managed to do just that: when our honorary conductor started his Ring-cycle two years ago, he and his camera team managed to capture every detail of the realization of this masterpiece. His documentary Das Rheingold takes us to private rehearsals and the world behind the stage, up to the dressing rooms.
