Bach and Mozart
Mozart and Bach brighten the winter: radiant sounds and a warm glow with Karel Schoofs on the oboe d’amore.
“Mozart is sunshine,” the Czech composer Dvořák is said to have once remarked—and even if that quote were invented, it would still be entirely true. In the darkest time of the year, Mozart’s radiant Haffner Symphony bathes us in light. Adding even more sparkle and warmth are Bach’s Third Orchestral Suite and his Concerto for Oboe d’Amore, featuring our very own Karel Schoofs as soloist. Let winter come.
